The Recap: BHS wraps up stellar winter sports season

The Burlington High School Grayhounds had a stellar winter sports season. Here’s a look at some of their successes:

Girls Basketball

The Grayhound Girls Basketball Team was named the 2024-25 Southeast Conference Champion and made it to the semifinal against Central DeWitt before ending their season 16-6 overall.

Boys Bowling

The Grayhound Boys Bowling Team was named the 2024-25 Southeast Conference Champion and placed 6th in the state bowling tournament.

Girls Wrestling

The Girls Wrestling Team was crowned Regional Wrestling Team Champion and sent six girls to state, where they placed 15th in the Class 2A Tournament. Qualifiers were:

  • Alannah Peterson: 5th place
  • Amaziah Twillie: 6th place
  • Macy Peterson: 6th place
  • Kiara Rodriguez: 8th place
  • Mia Oddo
  • Grace Navarre
